The NSW Industry & Stakeholder Forum serves as a platform for fostering collaboration, alignment, awareness, support, and ownership among trade facilitation stakeholders, thereby advancing the objectives of Nigeria’s National Single Window initiative. Through collaborative discussions, participants will achieve the following:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the National Single Window concept: Including its objectives, benefits, and how it streamlines trade processes.
- Clearly understand the NSW Project’s goals and objectives: Ascertain the project’s vision, mission, goals, and scope of work with relations to implementing Single Window in Nigeria.
- Understand their unique roles in the implementation of the Single Window platform: Understanding the responsibilities of government agencies, private sector, service providers, among others in the implementation and operation of an NSW.
- Learn from best practices and case studies: Learn from the analysis and experiences of successful implementations of NSW systems in other countries and identify transferable lessons and strategies.
- Explore the NSW implementation process: Gain insights into the critical steps of process analysis, technology design, build, deployment and management of the Single Window platform, including stakeholder engagement, legal reforms, and system integration.
- Align the NSW with national and regional goals: Understanding its contribution to economic growth, trade facilitation, and regional integration initiatives like the AfCFTA.
By achieving these objectives, the forum will empower all stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the planning, implementation, and optimization of the National Single Window platform in Nigeria.
